Government eases restrictions on transporting goods in Male'

Maldives Transport Authority (MTA) has eased restrictions on transporting goods in Male' City during the month of Ramadan.

On April 7, MTA notified commercial vehicles are banned from transporting goods from 1500hrs to 2100hrs during the fasting month. However, MTA has changed the ban from 1600hrs to 2000hrs, and has allowed commercial vehicles to transport goods from 0900hrs to 1600hrs and from 2000hrs to 0600hrs. MTA stated vehicles are required to drive towards Sinamale’ Bridge from the sourthern side of Male' City.

The new changes will be implemented in Male' City until May 19.
