Essential workers to be allowed to decline Hiya flats to apply for Vinares

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has revealed discussions are underway to allow essential workers that wish to decline their apartments under the Hiya project to apply for the Vinares residential complex.

Speaking to PSM News, Managing Director Suhail Ahmed said that the applicants will also be able to send their payments straight to HDC, which would reduce the interest rate. Regarding the Vinares project, Suhail said 46% of the residential complex is complete and is expected to be finished by May 2022. He said the reasons for the delay is due to changes in the project, which consists of the inclusion of parking and commercial spaces and the installation of ATMs in all of the 10 towers.

The Vinares residential complex consists of a total of 1,344 three-room apartments. The apartments are divided into four types: marina view, outer view, inner view, and standard view.
