Government begins seeking additional health workers and volunteers

Government of the Maldives begins seeking additional health workers and volunteers over the rise in COVID-19 cases.

At a press conference held at the Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC), Spokesperson at the President's Office Mohamed Mabrook Azeez said the government is currently seeking health workers and volunteers for various operations conducted in the country. The spokesperson said the government is seeking workers interested in a one-year contract at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). He said the government is also seeking medical staff from abroad as part of its efforts to curb the latest wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ministry of Health has announced it is seeking health professionals to treat the increasing number of sick people and stated those interested in volunteering for the government's COVID-19 related operations should send their application to the ministry's email.
