Health Protection Agency (HPA) has decided to stop issuing release documents notifying recovered COVID-19 patients.
In a circular, HPA said the period for isolation will be identified in the initial document provided for each COVID-19 patient, adding the patient does not need to continue isolating once the mentioned period has been completed.
According to the HPA, the isolation period varies for different people, considering how much COVID-19 affects each patient. As such, if a patient is experiencing fever, difficulty in breathing, coughing or other symptoms even after the mandatory 14-day period is over, they may be required to quarantine for a total of 21-days. The circular also stated the isolation period could be more than 14-days if a patient is isolated in a medical facility, which will be declared following the recommendation from the doctor consulting the patient.
HPA has also advised to seek medical attention if any individual detects COVID-19 symptoms or if the health of a patient deteriorates while under home isolation.
