Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced it is once again giving out certificate promotions to essential workers.
CSC previously stopped issuing certificate programmes as part of the cost-cutting efforts conducted by the Ministry of Finance following the COVID-19 pandemic. CSC stated essential workers who fit the criteria can apply for certificate promotion from October 1 onwards.
In a press release, the Ministry of Education stated teachers who received certificate promotions will be provided with an increase in salary and allowances from October 1. The ministry stated it will announce a decision on providing the added salary increment to teachers who already have received certificate promotions, after discussions with CSC.
