Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) issues an announcement seeking nurses to work at the COVID-19 facilities in the Greater Male’ Region on a temporary basis.
IGMH issued an announcement seeking 22 registered nurses for Hulhumale’ Medical Facility and other COVID-19 treatment facilities established in the capital. The hospital stated nurses are being sought for a duration of one year.
IGMH stated nurses working at the facilities are required to treat COVID-19 patients in accordance to instructions by doctors, monitor the condition of the patients and maintain their records. Nurses are also required to plan and implement the nursing care needed for patients.
IGMH stated nurses applying to work at the facilities must have a nursing qualification equivalent to Level 5 or 6 of the Maldives National Qualification Framework (MNQF). Both locals and expatriates are allowed to apply for the positions. The application deadline has been set as October 6.
There are currently 19 patients admitted in COVID-19 medical facilities established in the Maldives. The largest such facility is established in HMF, with a capacity of 300 patients.
