MTCC commences second phase of Fonadhoo road development project

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced the fieldwork of the second phase of the road development project in Fonadhoo, Laamu Atoll.

Phase 2 of the Fonadhoo road development project was contracted to MTCC earlier this year. Under the second phase, MTCC is tasked with developing an additional 3.64 kilometres of roads with asphalt paving, stormwater drainage systems, speed breakers, road signs and streetlights. The second phase of project is carried out at a cost of USD 3.5 million.

MTCC has commenced the second phase of the project following the completion of the first phase, which included development of 3.5 kilometres of roads. The roads developed under the first phase have now been opened to the public.
