BCC to open SME hub in first quarter of the year

Business Centre Corporation Limited (BCC) has announced it will open a small and medium enterprises (SME) hub in the first quarter of the year.

BCC stated the SME hub will offer kiosks to all local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to promote their services and to sell their products. It stated it will develop a three-floor commercial hub for the SME community and plans to feature all business categories in the MSME sector.

The SME hub will be headquartered in the Allied Building in Male' City and will include a mini-cinema and art gallery. Interested businesses are required to submit their expression of interest before January 13.

Speaking to PSM News, Chief Commercial Officer of BCC Samih Adam said the SME hub allows businesses to market and sell their products at the kiosks. He said the SME hub allows businesses to sell their products in its trial phase with minimal cost and eliminates the risk of new businesses renting their own spaces.

Director of Operations at BCC Ali Anil said the SME hub welcomes businesses and entrepreneurs working in various areas including florists, local authors, and food and beverage vendors.

BCC stated qualified businesses will sign a one-year contract to promote their services and to sell their products at the SME hub.
