Sample collection centre established in Thaajuddeen School

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has established a PCR test sample collection centre in Thaajuddeen School in Male’.

HPA said the sample collection service that was being provided in Social Centre has been moved to Thaajuddeen School, starting from 1500hrs on January 10. HPA said samples will be collected in Thaajuddeen School from 0900hrs to 1200hrs and from 1500hrs until 1800hrs from Saturday to Wednesday, and from 0900hrs until 1200hrs on Thursdays. Sample collection will be carried out between 1500hrs and 1800hrs on Fridays.

HPA has also established another sample collection centre in the old FAM Building in Male’. Sample collection at the old FAM Building will be carried out between 1400hrs and 1800hrs every day. Meanwhile, sample collection in Villimale’ will be carried out between 1600hrs and 1830hrs every day.

With the rise in COVID-19 cases, HPA has mandated all individuals travelling from Male’ to other islands to take PCR tests before travelling. The COVID-19 positivity rate in the Greater Male’ Region is currently at 11%.
