George Corbin and daughter become first gold tier members of Maldives Border Miles

George Corbin, one of the pioneers of tourism in the Maldives, and his daughter Georgia Corbin, the first child tourist to the Maldives, have become the very first Abaarana, or gold tier members of the world’s first destination loyalty program, the Maldives Border Miles.

The prestigious Abaarana Tier was presented to them by the Minister of Health Ahmed Naseem, during an exclusive event held at the VIP Lounge of the Velana International Airport. Minister Naseem had played an active role with Corbin to introduce tourism to the Maldives after they met at the Maldives Embassy in Sri Lanka during 1971. George Corbin was an Italy based diving tour operator then and has greatly contributed to the tourism industry ever since.

Abaarana Tier offers the most privileged offers to the members of Maldives Border Miles. The grandest offer to this tier includes free VIP services. They are also eligible for discounts from all the partners of the Maldives Border Miles.
