Fenaka Institute conducting international-level research

Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Limited Ahmed Saeed has stated Fenaka Institute of Research and Technology is conducting important research at the international level.

Speaking at the institute's graduation ceremony, Managing Director Saeed said the institute has begun three research programmes with collaboration from other countries. He highlighted the criticisms aimed at the institute during its inception and said the institute has now shown that it is fully capable of developing human resources.

He said Fenaka has built itself to become a key player in the research and development of utility services and sustainable energy production. He also said he expects Fenaka to be internationally recognised, as the institute is already working with the Delft University of Technology, which is one of the top universities in the Netherlands.

Furthermore, Managing Director Saeed said Fenaka has become a self-sufficient company by operating and maintaining the latest technology in its powerhouses with a 100% Maldivian workforce. He said the institute will soon begin courses on fieldwork for installing water supply, sewerage, and electricity systems.

A total of 113 students have graduated from the institute's training programmes on water, sewerage, and electricity services, while 23 students graduated from the course on engine maintenance and repair. Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan presented the certificates to the graduates as the chief guest at the ceremony.
