Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has decided to conduct a special programme to assist small businesses that are required to submit income tax returns for the year 2021.
MIRA said the programme will be conducted using telephone, email and other online means. However, MIRA has scheduled to make visits to some islands through its branches and collection centres in the atolls. MIRA also revealed it has now opened to apply for assistance for those who have chosen to prepare accounts for cash basis in 2021 by emailing or calling MIRA hotline 1415 if they require assistance in preparing income tax returns and financial statements.
The programme is scheduled to be held from March 15.
