Ministry of Islamic Affairs has contracted a local company to develop a branch of the National Centre for the Holy Quran in Fuvahmulah City.
The project to develop the Quranic studies branch in Fuvahmulah was awarded to Riser Private Limited. The contract was signed by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali and the Human Resources Manager of Riser Private Limited Musthafa Mohamed Fulhu.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Islamic Minister Zahir said the aim of developing the branch in Fuvahmulah is to widen the reach of the National Centre for the Holy Quran across the country. He noted the establishment of the branch would enable more students to be enrolled in the centre.
The Islamic ministry revealed the Quranic studies branch in Fuvahmulah is to be developed with an auditorium, library and a meeting room on the ground floor, along with four classrooms and a prayer room on the first floor. The cost of the project is approximately USD 777,000.
