Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has stated that it will provide USD1,600 as bonus payments to employees this week.
In a circular sent to employees, MACL stated the bonus will be distributed in equal portions to all individuals who had worked at the company in 2021 and those who resigned last year after working for at least six months.
The bonus is based on the total number of days employees had worked at MACL. As such, USD1,600 in bonuses will be provided to each employee. MACL stated the amount will be deposited into their bank accounts by August 18. The company added that employees who were dismissed over disciplinary issues will not receive a bonus.
MACL is 100% state-owned and one of the largest companies in the Maldives with 3,500 employees.
