Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of Kuwait, has decided to begin flight operations to the Maldives in October.
Kuwait Airways will commence operations on October 31 with two weekly flights to the country using an Airbus A320 aircraft. Last year, the Government of Kuwait announced that it will begin direct flights to the Maldives after easing the COVID-19 measures.
Statistics from the Ministry of Tourism show that 4,325 tourist arrivals from Kuwait were recorded in the first six months of this year, which is an increase of 240% compared to the 1,274 visits recorded in the same period last year.
