Minister of State for Health Ahmed Adil has officially opened a laboratory at the health centre in Dhiffushi, Kaafu Atoll.
The health ministry stated that the newly established laboratory services will allow Thalassemia patients in Dhiffushi to receive treatment on the island. The services will also allow a variety of medical testing to be conducted on the island, including tests for diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney problems, and other tests for prevalent diseases.
An emergency treatment facility has also been established at Dhiffushi Health Centre.
