Janah appointed as Advisory Council Member of CWEIC

Mohamed Ali Janah has been appointed as a Member of the Advisory Council of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).

CWEIC appointed Janah as an advisory council member based on his business experience. The organisation noted that Janah is an entrepreneur, developer, and contractor with over 30 years of venture experience in the Maldives and overseas. He has also led Hotels and Resort Construction Private Limited to work on over 53 resort projects.

Mohamed Ali Janah is the Chairman of the Hotels and Resort Construction Private Limited and the President of the Maldives National Association for Construction Industry (MNACI). Janah was the President of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA) from 2018-2022.

CWEIC is a commercial, not-for-profit membership organisation with an official mandate from the Commonwealth Heads of Government to facilitate trade and investment throughout the 56 Commonwealth member nations. The role of CWEIC is to use the convening power and trusted network of the Commonwealth to drive trade and investment.
