The Ministry of Finance has announced seeking interested parties to construct a new mosque in Himandhoo, Alifu Alifu Atoll.
The Himandhoo Mosque will be constructed with a capacity of 300 worshippers. The government has allocated USD143,300 from the domestic state budget.
A non-refundable registration fee of USD32.57 must be paid to participate in this bid and bid security of USD3,257 must be secured by the contractor, revealed the finance ministry. The term of the bid security is 148 days from the date of bid opening.
The finance ministry has opened the opportunity for bidders to submit bids before January 30. The ministry stated budding will be opened on February 1.
The government has built 17 mosques in the past four years and work on 14 mosques is already underway. The government has allocated USD4.3 million from the state budget this year to construct mosques across the country.
