IGMH opens opportunity to participate in Medical Intern Programme

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has opened the opportunity to participate in its medical internship programme.

IGMH has opened application submissions for the internship until February 15. This year, IGMH has allocated 32 placements for the internship programme, which is scheduled to start on March 18.

Interested candidates are required to submit a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Completion Certificate from a medical college or university, the certificate of Provisional Medical Registration from the Maldives Medical and Dental Council, in addition to the Police Clearance report.

Furthermore, IGMH said those who wish to participate in the medical internship programme must complete and submit the application form available from the hospital's website and the Medical Internship Secretariat Office from 0900-1200hrs every day, except on public holidays.

IGMH revealed if the number of applicants for the internship exceeds the allotted seats, priority will be given to the participants in the order of the date of completion of MBBS and the year since completion of the course, adding there is no salary or allowance allocated for the interns.
