Maldives Immigration has decided to allow individuals to submit passport application forms using mobile phones.
Immigration stated that individuals using the IMUGA Portal will no longer have to print and scan passport application forms. The decision was made to reduce the reliance on paper and make it easier for individuals to receive its services online via its portal.
Immigration aims to provide some additional conveniences along with the changes to the portal. Further details on these changes will be shared in the coming days.
Immigration launched the IMUGA portal in 2020 to enable individuals to seek its services online through one platform. The portal provides services related to passports, visas, travel declarations and Maldives Border Miles in English and Dhivehi languages.
