The Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) and the Maldives National Skills Development Authority (MNSDA) have signed an agreement to facilitate the accreditation of programmes under the National Competency Standards.
The agreement was signed by the Director General of MQA Mariyam Fizana Rasheed and the Director General of MNSDA Shakeeba Ali. The agreement signing ceremony was also attended by Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MQA Dr. Abdul Hannan Waheed said the agreement will allow MNSDA to hire registered training providers to conduct more accredited programmes under the National Competency Standards. He stated that the names of the accredited programmes will be published in the qualifications register on the MQA website.
