Male' City Council has stated that land plots in Thilafushi will be allocated for fiber works being conducted in Villimale'.
At a press conference, Acting Mayor of Male' City Ahmed Nareesh said that relocating the fiber work to Thilafushi will resolve the health problems and other challenges faced by the residents in Villimale'. He highlighted that the debris resulting from fiber work has a severe health impact.
Additionally, Nareesh said that the council has decided to remove fuel barges in Villimale', in accordance with the instructions of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. He said a separate area has been designated for the barges in Gulhifalhu and Thilafushi. He added that the relocation of fiber works, and fuel barges will be conducted with the assistance of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) to enhance public health.
