Ooredoo unveils interactive calendar for 2024 with mobile game

Ooredoo Maldives has unveiled an interactive desk calendar for 2024 at a special ceremony with Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage Adam Naseer Umar.

The interactive calendar includes Atholhu Dhuvun, the first-ever casual runner game developed in the Maldives. Giving a nod to the first ever Ooredoo Maldives television commercial, Hasanah Foaneh, the player embarks on a journey to deliver the phone across 12 islands from the North to the South of Maldives.

At the ceremony, Minister Naseer said that Ooredoo Maldives has a strong commitment towards empowerment of Maldivians and development of Dhivehi language. He also said that the calendar and game was designed and developed by local talent and showcases the beautiful islands and traditions of Maldives. He added that forms of entertainment such as this game helps bring Maldivians closer together and will help dissipate information about local islands at a global level. He applauded such innovations and wished further prosperity for the work Ooredoo Maldives is doing with innovative technology.

Also at the ceremony, CEO of Ooredoo Maldives Khalid Al-Hamadi said the calendar is a step forward in Ooredoo’s commitment to the youth, supporting local talent and innovations in the Maldives. He also said the game is aimed as a dynamic journey throughout the Maldives and provides a wholesome experience for customers of all ages. He added that the game is developed for the world, through the eyes of Maldivians and by the incredible talent of Maldivians. He expressed hope that this calendar and subsequent game allows customers to come together, enjoy casual gaming and create awareness about different islands of the Maldives to the global audience.

The 2024 calendar and game were developed for Ooredoo Maldives by the team at Loopcraft. The game takes the player through 12 levels, each level unlocked each month and featuring a new island creating a continuous dynamic adventure for the player. The calendar features artwork of the island featured on the same month, with a secret artwork incorporated. The players can access bonus hidden level through this same artwork in the game.
