Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has concluded his official visit to Montenegro.
Vice President Latheef visited Montenegro to attend the Third Congress of Democratic Montenegro. During his visit, the Vice President addressed the Congress at the invitation of Aleksa Becic, Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Internal Policy, European, and Foreign Affairs and President of Democratic Montenegro.
Speaking at the Congress, Vice President Latheef called to embrace the spirit of democracy, not just in words but in deeds, and to empower every citizen to engage, contribute, and shape the destiny of their nation. He also drew parallels with the Maldives' democratic journey since 2008 and expressed a willingness to share experiences and mutual learning between the two nations.
During his visit, Vice President Latheef held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Becic and discussed avenues for improved ties in tourism, fisheries, trade and investment between the two countries. Becic expressed his firm desire to strengthen ties between the two countries.
