The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) has announced a 50% reduction in the rental cost of kiosks in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) hub for the month of Ramadan. The decision is aimed at supporting and assisting small and medium-sized businesses during Ramadan, aligning with the policy of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to provide opportunities for the growth and expansion of such businesses.
The SME hub comprises 30 kiosks that specialise in selling various local products, as well as food and beverages. With the 50% rent reduction for Ramadan, the maximum amount charged for a kiosk is USD 322, and the minimum rent is USD 219.
Established by BCC, the SME hub is designed to promote and develop small and medium-sized enterprises while providing them with market access. The rental kiosks are available for booking through requests and placement on a waitlist.
BCC aims to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by SMEs and provide the necessary technical support for their development.
