President meets with Laamu Atoll Council

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Laamu Atoll Council members at the Fonadhoo Social Centre this morning to discuss the most crucial development needs of the atoll.

During the meeting, Council members discussed ways to improve the quality of health services, transportation services, and the education system in the atoll. They also briefed the President on the challenges fishermen encounter when weighing their catch and their plans to advance atoll tourism. Additionally, strategies to tackle various problems in the atoll’s islands were deliberated upon.

In response, President Muizzu assured the Atoll Council that he would address the concerns raised during the meeting. Through the Ministers present, he relayed the latest updates on the key issues raised by the Council, demonstrating his commitment to addressing the development needs of Laamu Atoll.
