Gov’t marks completion of six Indian aided projects

The government has marked the completion of six projects undertaken with India’s assistance.

The completion of six key projects, supported by India, was celebrated during a special ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was attended by India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who is currently on an official visit to the Maldives.

The following projects were completed under the Exim Bank of India’s line of credit and include:

Mental Health Unit at Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital
Child Development Center at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital
Inclusive Education Support Unit at Thinadhoo City Aboobakuru School
Inclusive Education Support Unit at Ihadhdhoo School, Laamu Atoll
Inclusive Education Support Unit at Haa Alifu Atoll Education Centre
Street lighting project in Thimarafushi and Veymandoo in Thaa Atoll, and Kondey in Gaafu Alifu Atoll

These projects aim to enhance healthcare, education, and infrastructure across the Maldives.
