Ahmed Saudhy appointed as new CEO and MD of MTCC

Former Deputy Commissioner of Maldives Transport and Construction Company (MTCC) Ahmed Saudhy has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of MTCC. His appointment follows the removal of Abdulla Ziyad from the position. Ziyad has been reassigned as State Minister at the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy.

The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) made several changes, including Ziyad's reassignment and the removal of Mohamed Mihas as Chairman of Island Aviation. Additionally, three new members were appointed to the board of directors of the Maldives Development Bank (MDB), including Ahmed Ali from the Maldives, Saeed Abdul Naasir Bin Saeed Hassan Al Junaid from Singapore, and Robert Daniel Kant from England.

The PCB, operating under the Privatisation and Corporatisation Act, is responsible for strengthening the management of government companies, monitoring their activities, and taking necessary actions.
