Maldives and Saudi Arabia relations is based on friendship and Islamic values: President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed confidence that the long-standing bilateral ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia will foster continued progress and prosperity for the residents of both countries. The statement was made by the president, in a post shared on social media, commemorating the 94th National Day of Saudi Arabia.

In his message, President Dr. Muizzu conveyed felicitation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the government and citizens of Saudi Arabia.

In separate messages sent to the King and Prime Minister, President Dr. Muizzu noted that the relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia are built on the foundation of mutual respect and trust, underscored by the shared history and values. He underscored confidence in the brotherly relationship and solidarity between the two nations to continue to flourish and reach new heights of excellence and advancement in the years ahead.

Saudi Arabia celebrates its national day on September 23 annually, to commemorate the unification of the nation and its founding at the hands of the former King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud.
