MWSC unveils mural made from recycled bottle caps

Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) on Thursday unveiled a mural made using recycled bottle caps. The mural, which depicts the natural beauty of the country, was placed near FEN Building.

Managing Director of MWSC Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed said the purpose of making the mural was to increase awareness on conserving and protecting the country’s fragile environment and ecosystem.

MWSC is currently undertaking a year-long environmental campaign titled “Rivethi Raajje, Magey Raajje”.

MWSC has been conducting a recycling programme since 2013, in collaboration with Island Beverages Maldives Pvt Ltd. The programme, undertaken as a Corporate Social Responsibility project, sees the recycling of used plastic bottles.
