President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed four new members to the National Integrity Commission (NIC).
The President made the appointments on Sunday in accordance with the National Integrity Commission Act.
The vacancies for membership became available with the terms of four members, including the Commission’s president, expiring on 26 October. The newly appointed members are Shuaib Abdul Rahman, Shifaz Ali, Ali Mohamed Manik, and Fathimath Shareef.
The NIC is responsible for overseeing the administration of law enforcement agencies and their personnel, as well as implementing the laws and regulations mandated under the National Integrity Commission Act. The Commission comprises five members in total.
