SME Digital has launched a mobile application to give small and medium-sized enterprises easier access to financial assistance and services needed to develop their businesses.
The app provides customers with a secure and convenient platform to access SME Digital services anytime and from anywhere.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, SME Digital Chief Executive Officer Badhurudheen Hassan said the company will continue investing in digital solutions to make it easier for businesses to access and manage its services.
CEO Badhurudheen said the app reflects SME Digital’s efforts to provide accessible, fast and customer-focused financial services that respond to the changing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. He described the launch as another important step in the company’s journey towards becoming a fully digital financial institution.
Through the app, customers can apply for SME Digital services, track the latest updates on submitted applications in real time, view and manage existing financing facilities, make payments towards those facilities, receive instant notifications and important updates, and interact with SME Digital.
CEO Badhurudheen said SME Digital will continue adding new features and services to the app to create further opportunities and benefits for businesses. These will include a marketplace where small and medium-sized enterprises can sell their products and services.

The SME Digital mobile app will soon be available to download from the App Store and Google Play. SME Digital will roll out access in phases and notify customers once the service becomes available on their accounts.
SME Digital said the app forms part of its broader vision to increase financial inclusion by providing businesses across the Maldives with access to services through digital platforms.
