Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has decided to increase flights to Trivandrum and Cochin in India to six days a week from 13 December.
The airline will increase the frequency as part of efforts to expand its flights to destinations in India. Maldivian currently operates flights to both Trivandrum and Cochin five days a week and will increase the frequency to six days a week from 13 December.
Maldivian currently operates flights to Trivandrum and Cochin on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. From 13 December, the airline will also operate flights on Sundays.
Maldivian has increased its flights to India for December this year, after previously changing the schedule on 19 December last year to operate flights five days a week. Demand for the flights continues to grow as a large number of Maldivians travel to India.
Maldivian has now opened ticket bookings for the additional flights. The national carrier currently operates scheduled flights to seven international destinations across four countries, comprising two cities in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh, three cities in China and Melbourne in Australia.
Maldivian continues to work towards expanding its flights to more countries internationally.
