Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has departed for the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Housing Minister Muizzu would be participating in the meeting as the Governor from the Maldives to the AIIB, according to the Housing Ministry. This year's annual meeting, which is to be held in Jeju, South Korea from the 16th to the 17th of June, would focus on sustainable infrastructure.
At the meeting, Maldives would have an opportunity to address members in outlining the challenges faced by small economies. The minister is accompanied by Senior Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Treasury, Arif Hilmy who is the Advisor to the Board of Directors and the current Temporary Alternate Governor from the Maldives to AIIB.
