Running mate of ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has met Maldivian students and families residing in Malaysia. The meetings were held as part of his trip to Malaysia aimed to enhance the support for PPM presidential candidate President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
As part of the four-day trip Dr. Shaheem met the Maldivian families residing in Malaysia and Maldivian students studying in the country. Moreover, during separate meeting running mate met dozens of Maldivians and inquired about the living condition in Malaysia, in addition to delivering the manifesto of the government.
Meanwhile, re-registration efforts were also conducted, as a ballot box will be placed in Malaysia for the presidential election. Shaheem inititated his campaign activities two weeks ago.
