Maldives-Pakistan ties is at its peak: Pakistani Ambassador

Ambassador of Pakistan to Maldives Retired Admiral Waseem Akram has stated within the past four years the ties between Maldives and Pakistan have enhanced and is at its peak now.
Addressing the flag hoisting ceremony held to mark the Independence Day of Pakistan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Maldives Retired Admiral Waseem Akram noted the achievements of Pakistan since its independence. Noting such achievements, Ambassador Waseem Akram highlighted the relations between Maldives and Pakistan, adding within the past four year, the relationship between both countries has flourished.
The Independence Day of Pakistan is widely celebrated by the Embassy of Pakistan in Maldives. Every year, the embassy holds a flag hoisting ceremony which was hoisted by Pakistan Ambassador Waseem Akram this year.
Independence Day observed annually on August 14, is a national holiday in Pakistan. It commemorates the day Pakistan achieved independence and was declared a sovereign nation following the end of the British rule in 1947.
