Vice President Faisal Naseem has called upon Maldivians to be united in matters regarding the nation and religion. The vice president made the appeal while speaking at the ceremony held in Maafushi to launch the program of teaching Quran in mosques, under the administrations pledges of the first 100 days.
Speaking in this regard, Vice President stated the most important thing to do to stay true to the Islamic faith is to obey and accept the revelations mentioned in the book of Holy Quran. He further urged Maldivians to be a community who learns from the teachings of the Quran and be steadfast in upholding the faith, so that one would not be on the road of devastation.
Vice President Faisal also stated with the initiation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, one of the goals of the administration is to renew Islamic ways of living among Maldivians and to renew the steadfastness of Islamic faith within Maldivians.
Vice President was accompanied at the ceremony by the Minister Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir.
