Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid discusses efforts to place a Human Rights Advisor in Maldives, with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.
Discussions were held during a meeting between Minister Shahid and Michelle Bachelet, on the side-lines of the 40th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, Minister Shahid reassured full commitment of Maldives to human rights and discussed further cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
