United Nations Resident Coordinator to Maldives Shoko Noda has paid a farewell call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
During the meeting at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shoko Noda thanked the government and people of Maldives for the warm hospitality extended to her during her term in the Maldives. She noted feeling a sense of achievement and hope for the Maldives and congratulated the commitment of the administration to fulfilling its human rights obligations.
Minister Shahid conveyed appreciation for the resident coordinator's exemplary discharge of her duties since she assumed her post in October 2014. Minister commended the resident coordinator for her constructive engagement with the government and the opposition alike.
