Ooredoo Maldives has revealed the company received an income of over USD 129 million in 2019.
According to statistics published by Ooredoo, the company generated an income of USD 129.4 million last year which was a 4% increase on the USD 122.9 million generated in 2018. The net profit of the company increased by 11% last year, with a profit of USD 38.5 million recorded in 2019 compared to USD 34.8 million in 2018.
While the company’s income and profits increased, customers using mobile, internet and other services of Ooredoo decreased by 9% last year. The company had over 446,000 customers in 2018, while the figure dropped to 406,000 in 2019.
Ooredoo introduced several new services to its portfolio last year, including the first Wi-Fi calling service in Maldives. The company also conducted a campaign with cheap mobile data and call minutes for its post-paid numbers.
Ooredoo also conducted its annual Colour Run last year, in addition to several social activities under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme.
