Maldives Super Transfer Service (MSTS) has launched the first tow sports instructor course in the Maldives in collaboration with the British Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation (BWSW). The course was inaugurated in a ceremony held at Kuredu Island Resort.
During the ceremony, Head of MSTS Maseeh Imad said the course will also help boost the confidence of the youth involved in watersports, and prove the field has a future. He said it will also be an opportunity to create more youth interested in the field. The course will be taught by experts from BWSW, according to MSTS. A total of 10 candidates from eight resorts MSTS provides services to will be participating in the course. MSTS said the course will be conducted annually in the future and that it will be open to anyone working in the watersports field.
MSTS stated that the aim of the course is to teach the youth working in watersports in the tourism sector the safety standards used in conducting tow sports for tourists and to provide instructors with the skills to teach these sports to guests.
