Road Development Corporation (RDC) has begun the redevelopment project for the second segment of Ameenee Magu in Male' City.

RDC stated that it is working on the modernisation of Ameenee Magu in various segments. The first segment is now complete and the fieldwork for the second segment is making progress as planned. It will be constructed on 136m of the road between Irudheymaa Hingun and Kalaafaanu Hingun. RDC stated the segments will be opened for vehicular traffic once the asphalt has been laid on the road. The asphalt laying of the first segment will start after the completion of the areas up to Billabong High International School.

RDC stated that the road will be levelled and opened to the public after the completion of the segments. The condition of the cables and pipes laid with Ameenee Magu is now known and many experiences have been gained during the work of the first segment, according to RDC. Therefore, the speed of the work will be accelerated in the future.
