International fast food franchise, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), has opened its first outlet in Maldives. The outlet of KFC in Maldives is located at Gaakoshi apartment complex in Male' city.
KFC gifted a special shirt with the logo for the first 100 customers who were served at the restaurant. The customers who visited KFC stated this is an opportunity for people of all ages to taste the infamous KFC chicken in Maldives.
Pizza Hut and KFC are a subsidiary brand under Yum International, who also runs Taco Bell. KFC in Maldives is managed by Gamma Island Food Private Limited which is a joint venture company of Island Food of Maldives and Indian Gama Pizza Craft Overseas.
Over 120 customers can be served at once from the outlet, according to KFC Maldives. Moreover, an Italian company has decided to open a KFC outlet on the waterfront of Velana International Airport.
