Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has stated the revenue generated in July is a record high compared to the last seven years.
MIRA received over USD 135 million in July which is attributed to 43.9% of Business Profit Tax (BPT), according to statistics published by the authority. Moreover, 24.4% of the revenue was generated from Goods and Services Tax (GST).
MIRA revealed the increment is due to the deadline of BPT payments falling on the month.
