Joint Secretary for Indian Ocean Region at the Ministry of External Affairs of India Dinesh K. Patnaik has called on Secretary Bilateral at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Ahmed Khaleel.
During the meeting, Secretary Bilateral Khaleel and Joint Secretary Patnaik discussed the bilateral relations between Maldives and India, and ways forward for further strengthening the existing ties. Patnaik was accompanied by Ambassador of India Akhilesh Mishra during the meeting.
Joint Secretary Patnaik is also scheduled to meet Head of the Transition Team Abdulla Shahid and Director General of Transition Ahmed Latheef at the Office of the President-elect of Maldives.
